CREDIT & DEBIT CARD TRANSACTIONS
I authorise you to charge my credit or debit card with all charges I 
have been notified of and any charges pursuant to my varied 
instruction in addition to charges incurred but not forseen.

Please note, for all credit transactions, a 2% fee will be added. Which is mandatory and has nothing to do with the services or products that we offer.

Terms and Conditions of Business

estimates are purely this and are not the final figure unless all relavent
information to provide and accurate quotation is provided by the customer if
you are or should be or have been aware of a relavent piece of information
then you should communicate this to the company

Packing boxes are delivered FREE of charge (UK only) and are supplied 
at cost price in advance of your move on a sale or return basis provide
unwanted boxes in good condition as new are returned to our driver on day of
move or returned to our dispatch at your expence.

the company offers a 2 man packing service at £40 per hour, 
plus the
cost of packaging materials.

the company makes an additional charge of £50 for Saturday moves 
and £150 for Sunday moves.

The quotation assumes ease of access and parking adjacent to the house 
for loading and unloading.

An additional charge is added for premises with difficulties or above 
the first floor.

Please inform us in advance of any heavy lifting required such as 
pianos and safes and any likely difficulties with a large Removal 
vehicle so we may make provisions which will be chargeable.

Assembly of furniture and any tradesman services such as the 
disconnection of a washing machine will incure a charge we will not be able
to fix or remove lighting .

Waiting for keys at the new property will incur an additional charge.

All items in the move over £250 must be specified in advance.

Furniture Storage Extra care handeling charge cover is extended to 
indemnify the client against All Risks of loss or damage to household 
removals arising from any fortuitous cause during loading or 
unloading of the conveying vehicle or transit therein but excluding:

A) Loss or damage to food & drink, furs, jewellry, watches, precious 
metals and precious stones, deeds, bonds, Bills of Exchange, 
Promissory Notes, Money or securities for money stamps of all kinds, 
Manuscripts and other documents.

B) Loss or damage caused by or arising from wear, tear, gradual 
deterioration, mildew, moth, vermin, or any progress of cleaning, 
repairing or restoring.

C) Loss or damage to self-assembly furniture which is not designed to be
moved and we accept no liability for this self assemble type goods.

D) Mechanical or Electrical derangement unless caused by external damage.

E) Breakage of owner- packed goods unless caused by a major accident 
to the delivery vehicle.

F) Loss or damage occurring in premises where the goods are stored or 
warehoused unless the cover is granted elsewhere in this policy.

In the event of loss or damage to any article forming a pair or set, 
the indemnity granted here under shall be limited to the proportionate 
value that that article bears to the total value of the pair or set 
and no additional depreciation shall be paid.

Provided always that if at the time of an event resulting in a claim 
under this extension the value of the goods shall exceed the amount 
stated in the policy schedule the Company will only be responsible 
for such proportion of the loss as the amount stated in the said 
schedule bears to the actual value of the goods.

Its is a condition precedent to liability under this extension that 
the client shall obtain a value inventory in respect of the goods, 
prepared prior to commencement of transit and signed by the owner of 
the goods.

Any discrepancies and complaints should be notified to the company in 
writing within 48 hours of the move to complaints@lastminuteremovals.co.uk

Your Removal Quotation letter is valid for a minimum period of 6 months.

Part load deliveries will be shipped to the final destination 
warehouse at our convenience but usually within 28 days

Charges if you postpone or cancel the removal

If you postpone or cancel this contract, we will make a charge 
according to how much notice is given.

(a) Not all of your Deposit is refundable after booking is made.

(b) More than 14 days before the removal was due to start; 50% of Deposit

(c) Less than 14 days, but more than 8 days before the removal was 
due to start; 30% of the removal charge, including deposit.

(d) Less than 8 days before the removal was due to start; 60% of the 
removal charge, including deposit.

(e) On the day before the move 100% of the removal charge.

Limited Liability

In the removals industry, limited liability is standard practice 
because the mover does not know the value of a customer's goods.

We encourage all our customers to take out Extra care handeling 
charge to cover themselves against losses greater than the limits set 
out in our terms and conditions and for risks where they have no 
rights of recourse against the removal contractor.

Special Cases

Furniture Storage terms and conditions are important. Please note the 
following:

claims  excludes liability for jewellry and other similar 
items

any claim limits the company's liability to £40 per item in 
the event of loss or damage caused as a result of our negligence
items are defined as individual or a total box of contents or any seperately
listed items as per an inventory accepted by the company on the move day

the company limits the company's liability to £75 per premises 
in the event of damage to your premises

the company excludes liability for owner packed goods other 
than negligence.

the company specifies the time limits for submitting claims for 
loss or damage to 48hrs after the move and must be submitted in writing

jewellry and other items should not be included for removal.

If you want to do your own packing you need to consider the following:

the company is responsible for the loss or damage caused by its 
negligence but not by inadequate or poor quality packing. Goods may be
damaged by other causes over which a removal 
contractor has no control.

Secondly, our limit of liability is £40 per item or box and this will 
not be enough for some items.

the company recognises that its customers need proper financial 
protection and offers Extra care handeling charge to cover goods 
while they are being packed, loaded, transported, unloaded and 
unpacked by the company. If your move involves storage, this 
can be arranged too.

What Type of Extra care handeling charge Do I Require
the company recommends to all customers that they take out Full 
"All Risks" - Extra care handeling charge. This does not literally 
cover anything that may happen, but does include cover for damage by 
breakage, vehicle accidents, fire, storm and theft.

You can choose Extra care handeling charge on a reinstatement basis 
which means "new for old", or an indemnity basis which means "like 
for like".

New for Old Extra care handeling charge

If something is totally lost or destroyed you will be paid the new 
replacement value or the item will be replaced as new. If the item 
can be repaired, our agent will arrange this if it is cheaper and 
gives a satisfactory result.

Like for Like Extra care handeling charge

Claims will be settled on the basis of the new value minus an 
allowance for age, wear and tear.

Check the value of your goods

Once you have decided between "new for old " and "like for like" you 
must calculate the value of your goods.

This is your responsibility, because neither the company nor 
our agent know the value of your property.

Claims Time Limit

For goods delivered by the company, claims must be notified 
within 48 hours of delivery. If another company collects goods from a 
Furniture Storage warehouse,  claims must be notified when the goods 
are handed out by the company staff. Our agent will refuse 
to pay claims if you do not adhere to these time limits.

Provision of service


We will do our best to provide service to you by any date we have 
agreed with you but we do not guarantee to do so.

Matching Pairs and Full Sets of Items

Like most household contents policies, if one of a pair of items or 
part of a set is lost or damaged, our agent will only pay for the 
individual item that is lost or damaged. Our agent will not pay for 
the replacement of the entire set.

Mechanical and Electrical Breakdown

It is not possible of the company or our agent to check that 
electrical goods are working before a move takes place and our agent 
obviously have no responsibility for pre-existing damage.

This means that our agent will only pay for mechanical and electrical 
breakdown or derangement if there is obviously damage to outer casings.

Damp & Mildew

From time to time Furniture Storage receives Notice from customers 
for items that appear damp or damaged by mould or mildew. Be aware 
that the company's warehouses are not heated. In winter, the ambient 
temperature and humidity in a warehouse is much lower than a 
centrally-heated home.

The higher temperature at home means that its air is almost certainly 
more humid. If soft furnishings, upholstered furniture, bedding and 
curtains come from a warm environment into a cold environment, the 
air in the fibres will cool and deposit a 'moisture load', and a 
feeling of dampness.

This arises because the temperature and humidity in your house is 
high, not because the warehouses leak! We are happy to discuss this 
with you.

Packing your Goods

Last Minute Removals offers a 2 man packing service at £40 per hour, 
plus the
cost of packaging materials.

Our agent will not pay for the loss or damage to goods packed by the 
customers, only if there is total loss of all the consignment. If you find 
this unacceptable, you must allow us to pack your goods.

Waiting times between properties

If the removal team have to wait at the new property, you will be charged

£40 per hour per two removal men.

JURISDICTION/GOVERNING LAW

Users of Last Minute Removals Limited pages submit to the jurisdiction 
of the Gibraltar courts and this Site is governed by Gibraltar law.

LARGE CASH PAYMENTS

We will not accept large cash payments greater than 15,000 euros
